Chronic Inflammation signs & symptoms

Inflammation in our bodies is a natural process, a healing mechanism for when it gets injured.  But when the immune system doesn’t turn off and keeps fighting as if it’s under constant attack, we have a problem.  Chronic inflammation is defined as continuing for 6 months or more.  Research shows that chronic inflammation can be associated with heart disease, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, and bowel diseases.  From the outside everything can look normal, but inside this “invisible” condition is creating havoc on your body.  Symptoms include:

  • Body pain & achy joints
  • Fatigue or insomnia
  • Depression, anxiety & mood disorders
  • Gastrointestinal disorders like constipation, diarrhea or acid reflux
  • Weight gain or loss
  • Frequent infections

While you should always see your Doctor if you are experiencing any of these symptoms for a prolonged period of time, there are many things you can do to help.  Start with:

  • Choose a good diet
  • Avoid processed, packaged and fast food
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Exercise daily
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Manage stress
  • Avoid alcohol

Do not accept that joint pain, depression and poor health is your fate and continue to live with these conditions.  Do something different to feel something different!

If you are dealing with chronic inflammation and are struggling to identify why or how to address it, contact me for a free health consultation.  We will review your health history and identify the root cause of the problem.  Together we will create a plan to get you back on track to feeling good.
